Student Data Mismatch Management
It would be nice to have an option to accept changes that automatically brings in the changes from the SFTP without having to individually update students.

Good morning Jim,
Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate the suggestion.
An "Accept" or "Override Embrace® Data" button would allow the user to automatically update student data based on the district's SIS information without having to navigate to the Student Information Page. To date, this functionality has not been added, as we encourage districts to review each data mismatch closely. A concern has been that districts would click "Override" without truly taking the time to analyze the mismatch and correct the data in the appropriate source.
As a background for other users:
The Student Data Mismatch Management screen allows districts to compare student data being sent from the district’s Student Information System to data saved in the Embrace system, specifically Student Name, DOB, and SIS #. For example, John Smith's birthdate may be recorded in the district's SIS as 5/31/19, but was recorded in Embrace® as 5/13/19. A data mismatch provides the district with the opportunity to analyze the discrepancy and update the information in the appropriate system. This prevents unintended changes to the IEP paperwork, protecting locked conferences and legal paperwork.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Thank you!

Hi Casey,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
If you have received the mismatch “stopped possible duplicate creation”, you will need to compare this student’s State and District IDs in your Student Information System (SIS) and Embrace. If the student has a different State or District ID in your SIS than what is entered in Embrace, the system will think you are attempting to add a separate student to Embrace. If the student is missing a District ID, the system may be matching on name and DOB, but is requesting another unique identifier to determine if the student record truly belongs to the same student.
On the occasion that you receive this mismatch, and there is already a different student record with the same name and date of birth (i.e. two John Smiths), the student that has not yet been created in Embrace will need to be manually added into Embrace with the appropriate IDs.
If you have any questions about a specific student mismatch, you are welcome to reach out to us directly via email (Success@EmbraceEducation.com) or phone (888-437-9326), and we would be happy to assist you with resolving this.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Thank you!
